Municipal Lien Search Ordered
A "title search" (described above) shows us what's been recorded in the "public record" of the county where the property sits. Sometimes a property may have issues that have been documented by the city (or county) authorities, but have not yet been recorded in the public record. A municipal lien search is a report that shows us these items, and may reveal issues like; unpaid utilities, code violations, and open building permits.
